65mm film and gear now available!

Our 65mm film campaign was a great success! We are overwhelmed with the response to making 65mm film (IMAX) available for still photographers for the first time. Now you can shoot the most advanced color film stocks ever invented in medium and large format!

We are pleased to announce that we are now opening up sales of this amazing film directly in our webstore. All four stocks currently manufactured by Kodak are available while supplies last, including a discounted 4-film sampler pack!

Using our special spools, you can shoot 65mm film in nearly any film back that accepts 70mm film. This includes Mercury, large format, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Pentax, Bronica, and many more camera systems.

Note that some backs require an “all-perf” mod. For details on compatibility, instructions for modding backs, and a general exploration of all things 65mm (and 70mm), see our dedicated site: www.shoot65mm.com

As an authorized Cinestill distributor, we also now have home developing chemicals for sale, so you can bundle those with the film. We also make a full line of accessories for bulk loading, adding leader, home processing, and negative scanning.

And though we sold most of our 65/70mm backs during our initial campaign, we still have a few available for you: four large format panoramic/stereo backs, four medium format 65mm-ready Mamiya RB/RZ/Press 6×7 backs, one 6×9 version, and our large format cut film holders. Get them before they’re gone!

    1. Not directly, but with the right parts this camera is apparently very easy to non-destructively convert to Graflok 45 mount (using a kit like this). Once you did that, our Mercury “Superback” would allow you to shoot pretty amazing 65mm IMAX panoramas with the Konica Instant Press. That would be a pretty amazing setup!
