We have refreshed our lineup of ground glass backs to add more budget and high-end options. Our new budget backs are perfect for users who typically shoot handheld, but want to precisely test and calibrate their lenses, and perhaps occasionally use ground glass for precise focusing (but not composing). Our standard ground glass backs work perfectly for most shooters. Our new 4×5 ground glass frames allow you to assemble a high-end back using expensive glass or optical plastic designed for widely available Toyo or Graflex cameras. The complete guide outlining all of our options can be found here.

Where can we purchase the camera and view finder?
We will be re-tooling this site to serve new customers in the future, and you will be able to purchase Mercury cameras and parts directly. Until then, if you can’t wait, just send us an email using the “mail” button on the bottom right of your screen and we’ll see what we can do. Cheers!
We will have a webstore up on this site in the future. For now, though, you can email us using the mail link on the site (on any page, lower right corner) and we can set up an order for you.
The Graphic 23 ground glass is an excellent fit to a Century Graphic and a snug fit to a Arca Swiss Graphic roll back adapter.
Good to know; thank you for the feedback! While our backs are generally only tested to fit our own cameras, I’m always happy to hear that they work well on others as well!
I’m interested in purchasing the instax back for my speed graphic.
Hi Tracy,
Our Graflok 45 Instax Back works great with Speed Graphic cameras, as long as they have Graflok backs (i.e., your ground glass panel can be removed and you can mount other Graflok accessories such as roll film backs). You can purchase our Instax back directly from http://mercurycamera.com/backs/mercury-instax-backs/. Look for the table of characteristics near the bottom of the page for Paypal purchase links. Note that we highly recommend our matching ground glass back as well, as it matches the proper film plane distance and framing. If you have any questions, you can email us via the Contact box on the right side of each page of the site. Thanks for your interest in Instax Wide!
hello ,i have not found the price for a complete 4X5 camera
could you tell me more
sincerely
@+fred
4×5 cameras are always treated as custom cameras (so contact us via the contact button on the right of each webpage to put together an order), but you can always find our latest price list here. Check out the “Camera Bundles” section at the top of that document to see 4×5 camera options. I’m happy to answer any further questions!
Just spontaneously purchased 2×3 Century Graphic with roll film backs. Wold love to have a ground glass too, for obvious reasons. I glean from the blog you offer 2 ground glass options. I’ll be shooting 6×7. My bakelite Century is Graflock. I guess all I need to know is pricing. I’m in Pennsylvania. Thank you.
That’s a great camera; I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! (And if you ever want to supplement it with a much lighter, more compact, faster camera that can use the same lenses and backs, just check out our 6×9 camera configuration, of course.) Our 6×9 ground glass works great on the Century. For the current price list, you can always use this link. To order, just send us an an email at mercurycameraworks@gmail.com and we’ll send you a Paypal invoice. Like many of our items, our ground glass backs don’t have direct purchase links.
